Age: 54 years old.

Hometown: Hull, East Yorkshire.

Occupation: Bus driver for Easy Yorkshire Motor Services.

Married: Married to Sue, (34 years on and off!)

Children: 3 (Alexandra 21, Tom 18, Beth 16)

Most memorable day: June 18th 1996,

Achievements in regards to barbel fishing: I caught my 1st barbel on the above date and now fish for virtually nothing else, my pb is a "tad" short of 14lbs. I also enjoy a bit of fly-fishing in the close season.

Favourite Method: One rod and a centre-pin and I love floodwater fishing.

Favourite Venue/ river: River Swale North Yorkshire.

Achievements that may be relevant: 3-9's in a session on the Swale a few years ago and on only my 2nd trip to the river Ribble having a double figure barbel in the flood water conditions.

What's The future for you and barbel fishing?: To get to grips with the BS Committee job so that the sterling work " popey" has done can be carried forward in the next 10 years and that should make us a "potent" force in the research and conservation area.

Anything else that paints a picture: Would love to have a Yorkshire double.
